She is based in Washington Park of South Side Chicago, IL with roots in Louisiana and influences from Maryland. She works as the Artistic Coordinator at Links Hall, co-organizes with Performance Response Journal 2.0, and collaborates with other freelance artists and organizations across the city of Chicago.

About the Performance
Almost was. is an improvisational movement work that emphasizes loud silence, removed/embodied text, and bursts of accelerated dance. Aaliyah Christina travels a pathway created by boxed lights to emphasize the journey from the Life/process to the Death/transition of Love.
